Farm Rights

We reserve the right to retain any animal born on our farm regardless of reservation status, deposits or holds at any time for the interest, safety and well being of our animals. We reserve the right to make selling decisions based on our own criteria and discernment. The Feathered Nest Farm is NOT responsible for any animal once it leaves our property in any regards including health.

Interest 

We do not take deposits, but we do maintain an Interest List. If you are interested in a kid, please START by looking at our Breeding plans.

 

Reservations 

When kids are born, the first person listed on the interest list will be contacted via email or text (or other preferred means) and have 24 hours to accept or decline a kid. If a kid is accepted, we will need a non-refundable deposit of $100. Your deposit is NOT refundable if you change your mind for any reason, but will (of course) be refunded if the kid becomes sick, deformed, injured, or dies while in our care.

 

Sales & Pickup 

All goats must be paid for in full before leaving our property/being transferred. Cash is preferred method for paying the balance. The contract will have agreed upon pickup date. Unless previously discussed with farm owner, any kid not picked up at agreed upon date will be forfeited (this includes $100 deposit). Eligible mini Nubian kids will be sold with application for registration with MDGA. Eligible Nubian kids will be sold with application for registration with ADGA. Some contracts for our goats may include a buy-back clause: we will ask for a right of first refusal should you decide to sell the animal in the future.
