Anatolian Shepherd Livestock Guardian Dogs
Meet The Breed
Anatolian shepherds were chosen to protect the farm because of their loyalty, protectiveness, and their agility. Our current dogs embody those traits and are the heart of the farm! Males typically range from 110-150lbs and females range from 80-120lbs and can live to be around 13 years of age. They have a thick undercoat that protects them well from any weather and only need a weekly brushing as maintenance.
Our male and female Anatolians are not a breeding pair so we will not have puppies available. They are here to live up to their breed standard of essential protection for our beloved family and farm.
Xena - Female
Xena was born in August 2023 at H&L Acres Livestock Guardian Dogs. Xena joined the farm in February 2023 when it was a suburban farm & we were searching for land. Xena is a big ole sweetheart… except when she’s in work mode. Darlie is her favorite goat on the farm.
Duke- Male
Duke joined the farm as a 4 year old. Duke hails from Stonecoat Farm Anatolians. Duke is serious but can also ham it up!
